NAIA Terminal 1 Officials Promise a Good Toilets for Travelling Public

After being included to the top ten world’s worst airports. Officials of Ninoy Aquino International Airport have promised that there will be clean toilets with running water, toilet paper and soap in the old terminal building within two to three months.

Jose Angel Honrado, Manila International Airport general manager said that the agency has already imposed a deadline upon itself to fix all the toilets in NAIA terminal, which earned a lot stung criticism from the travelling public.

The Ninoy Aquino International Airport was recently listed among the world’s worst airports by a travel website, where in many travellers commented about the dirty environment of the Airport especially its toilets.

In an interview to Honrado he said that they promise to their travelling public that within two to three months all the toilets in the terminal will be clean and equipped with toilet papers and soap.

He also added that as of now the renovation is now ongoing and MIAA has finished working on seven to eight sets of rest room in the terminal out of 17.

“The Guide to Sleeping in Airports”, the Travelling website that surveyed the worlds worst airport, ranked the Manila Airport particularly the NAIA terminal 1 as fifth and number one in Asia for the year 2010.

Also included to the top 5 worst airports are two French airports, including the Paris Charles De Gaulle, and the Los Angeles and Moscow airports.

Most of the complaint raised in NAIA terminal 1 by the travellers in the site is the dirty toilet, lack of seats for the p(–foul word(s) removed–)enger, and officials asking for bribes.

Honrado said that he respect the opinions of the public and invited them again to come in NAIA to see the improvements done to the airport to satisfy the travelling public.
