With full confidence as critics coined to be “revealing” gown, Ms. International and Beauty Queen Precious Lara Quigaman was stormed by comments during the recent coronation night for Bb. Pilipinas 2011.
Some considered the gown to be obscene because even if it is a long gown, with a very long slit, it further revealed the gem-studded underwear as part of the design, making the viewers expressed their mixed observations.
But according to Quigaman, as she defended herself, she said that there’s nothing obscene in the gown, and besides, perhaps people were just stunned seeing her that way for she seldom appeared to be showy, she dressed like so reserved and covered especially in the shows that she was in to.
On the issue that she had wore that gown to take attention, the beauty queen revealed that attention was not her purpose in choosing what to wear. She further claimed that before choosing the design, she had asked the opinion of her friends and family and they said that it’s really “okay.”
Quigaman was not the only star who was spotted by critics on the coronation night, in fact, even the very hairdo of Venus Raj was hit.
