The Philippine Azkals tough defense have managed to survived the first half of the game. Each team find it difficult to convert a goal. Neil Etheridge tremendous performance of blocking the attempts by the Palestinians have proven to be one of the factors why the Palestinian were not scoring during the first half.
Starting for the Philippine Azkals were Neil Etheridge, Anton del Rosario, Rob Gier, Aly Borromeo, Ray Jonsson, Jerry Lucena, Â Simon Greatwich, Angel Guirado, James Younghusband, Chieffy Caligdong and Ian Araneta.
During the first two minutes of the game the ball was under control by the Azkals but the first corner was credited to the Palestinian. Â A Palestinian free kick was given during the 4th minutes via foul by Simon but the ball was easily catched by Etheridge.
At 36th minutes of the game a long kick by Palestine almost went straight but it  hit goal post,  Etheridge leaped up to post and he had been down for a while. Maybe he was jumping more than usual. The Philippines have been back on counter attack for the last minute but they were unable to convert.
