Motorists on the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) were left astonished when they found themselves sharing the road with an unexpected companion, a horse. The surprising encounter occurred in Barangay San Felipe, San Fernando, Pampanga.

According to reports, Nicomedes Halili, who happened to be in the vicinity, captured the unexpected incident on video. The video showed the horse running alongside the vehicles near the San Fernando Toll Gate on a Friday evening (May 19, 2023).

Halili speculated that the horse might have escaped by leaping out of a carrier being towed by a vehicle.

The NLEX Corporation took swift action to ensure the safety of both motorists and the horse. The corporation confirmed that the horse had been safely captured and transported to Barangay Sta. Monica in San Simon, Pampanga.

The owner of the horse had reported its disappearance at the San Fernando Customer Service Center, prompting a prompt response from the NLEX Corp.

In response to inquiries on social media, NLEX Corp. shed some light on the incident. “According to the owner’s statement, the cold had escaped from its stable at the NLEX underpass… in Barangay San Felipe, San Fernando, Pampanga,”.

The corporation emphasized its commitment to the safety and well-being of both motorists and animals.
