Atty. Rivera Reveals The Reason Why Rally Against Marcos Burial Failed
The reasons why the anti-Marcos rally failed to convince a huge number of Filipinos to join the protests were revealed by Atty. Bruce Rivera.
The veteran lawyer from San Beda College and a loyal social media supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte, Atty. Bruce Rivera has criticized the failed rally against the burial of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’ remains at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.
The rally on Wednesday (November 30, 2016), becomes a failure when the anti-Marcos failed to convince a large number of Filipinos to join the rally on Bonifacio Day. Rivera points out that majority of the Filipinos choose to keep silent.
Rivera said that anti-Marcos might have more important things to do rather than attending the rally. He also mentioned some of the attendees at the rally including Mar Roxas, Leila De Lima, and other personalities.
The lawyer congratulated the anti-Marcos for proving that Marcos is not a real hero but he also expressed his point of view and revealed the reasons why rally against Marcos Burial have been failed.
He also cited the resignation the chief of National Historical Commission. The lawyer said that Diokno might resign because they were appointed by former President Benigno Aquino III and not by President Duterte.
“At ang resignations by members of the National Historical Commission are expected. Hindi sila inappoint ni PRRD. Inappoint sila ni PNoy kasi ang trabaho nila ay ipagpipilitan na hindi bayani si Marcos. Kaya nahiya lang sila sa nag-appoint sa kanila kasi hindi nila naconvince ang taga Ilocos eh.” Said by Rivera in his post in social media.
Rivera said that many Filipino already knew that Marcos is not a hero and he did not want to join the rally led by unreliable leaders.
