Only PTV4 & RTVM Were Allowed to Cover Duterte’s Victory Party

National media broadcasts from the country’s major news media organization were no longer allowed inside the venue to cover President Rodrigo Duterte’s Victory Party in Davao City. Only PTV 4 & RTVM were allowed to broadcasts inside the venue and the live footage of the event will be streamed through them by ABS-CBN, GMA7, TV5 and other news media outlets from the Philippines as well as the international media covering the event.

Media Set Up

The Radio Television Malacañang and state-run People’s Television Network (PTV4 & RTVM) will occupy the prepared area near the stage which was earlier set-up for some national news media. Change is indeed happening in the highly anticipated thanksgiving party today at the Crocodile Park in Davao City.

According to the organizers of the event, the change in plans of not allowing the national media from covering inside the venue was announced just before 8:00 AM on Saturday morning. The announcement was released a few hours after Mayor Duterte’s executive assistant Bong Go confirmed that the incoming President would no longer be holding press conferences.

The organizers together with Bong Go also noted that all announcements and interviews will be coursed through PTV4, the TV station run and managed by Philippine national government. Kat Dalisay, one of the event’s organizers, she explained that the combined security government agencies can answer the questions given to them by the media of the sudden changes.

The combined security government agencies told the organizers about the new protocol that only RTVM and PTV4 will cover for the media. The event dubbed “One Love, One Nation” at the Crocodile Park involves around 6,500 security personnel of combined forces from the Presidential Security Group (PSG), the military and the Philippine National Police (PNP).

A few days before the highly anticipated victory party of Mayor Rody Duterte in Davao City, the incoming President made headlines anew for his statement against media killings and his catcalling of a female reporter. Instead of reporting about the announcement of Pres. Duterte’s composition of his Cabinet and his future plans for the country, some journalists focused their reports on the mistakes of Pres. Duterte which were sensationalized nationally.

  1. The Idea is very good so as all news that feed the country will be fair and just for 30 years the philippines media have condition the mind of the people in a very corrupt news casting. Now the country is free from the bias media..They see the dust on the eye of there targets but the logs that is in there eye is they dont want to see.. May God Blessed you MR.
