Ian Bayona Araneta: Local Filipino Azkals and Lone Striker

Lone Filipino striker Ian Araneta have just scored the first goal for the Phillippine Azkals. During the 41st minute of the first half after picking up a loose ball from Guirado and fights hard for it goes for the shot that was partially deflected but it goes in giving the Philippines it’s first goal against Bangladesh.

The Azkals were now leading the game with a score of 1-0 for the first half of action. The goal from Ian Bayona Araneta was his 9th over-all international goal after his goal drought for the past few international games. It just came in time when the Azkals need it most.

On the other games between Palestine and Myanmar. Myanmar had already scored a goal against Palestine and reviving their chances of moving it to the next round of the tournament.

If the Philippine Azkals will handle the situation and play tough games against Bangladesh, we will make history in Philippine football by qualifying for the first time to qualify for the top eight teams in the AFC Challenge Cup.

The Philippine Azkals were wearing blue uniforms while the Bangladesh team was wearing green and red. As an added bonus to the players they will receive $1000 from team manager Dan Palami if they win this game against Bangladesh National Football Team.
