One of the young celebrities who had a huge break last year is young Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon. She was chosen to be the next Darna.
Darna is one of the most iconic superheroes in the Philippines. It is really a huge opportunity and success to be chosen to play the said role and it is really a break for any person who will qualify for the role.
Undeniably, the curiosity of many people was sparked after it was announced that Jane de Leon will be the next Darna. Some people are not fully familiar with Jane de Leon before she bagged the iconic role.
Jane de Leon before being chosen as the next Darna played a role in the 2018 drama television series Halik. Jane de Leon’s Halik character was Maggie Bartolome, the younger sister of one of the lead characters.
The young actress was first a model before she became part of the acting field. Her family is from San Pedro Laguna. She is the youngest of the six children of the late Ruel Florencio de Leon.
Jane de Leon’s father died of cancer. She grew up in the rearing of her father and her mother, Hearty Benitez de Leon. She is equally close to her full brother, Francis, and her four half-siblings on her father side.
Jane is visibly a simple type of person. Not much about her private life is known to the public and many are excited to finally see her as Darna. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project has yet to be taped.
