Julia Montes‘ real name is Mara Hautea Schnittka. She was born on March 19, 1995 in Pandacan, Manila to a German Father, Martin Schnittka, and a Filipino mother, Gemma Hautea. However, her parents separated as her father left them. She was still a baby then when her father left.
It was the grandmother of Julia, Flory Hautea, who helped Gemma raise her. She has two (2) younger brothers namely Patrick and Paolo. As a child, it’s her dream to either be a flight attendant, a chef, or a soldier someday.
Like other celebrities, Julia Montes started her showbiz career with minor roles. She was part of several hit projects of the GMA-7 network including Sana ay Ikaw na Nga in 2001. Before officially becoming a Kapamilya, the actress did several guest roles under the ABS-CBN Network such as Hiram in 2004.
