One of the popular young celebrities in the Philippine showbiz industry is Diego Loyzaga. Both his parents, Cesar Montano and Teresa Loyzaga, are part of the same field. Meanwhile, the young actor established his own name in the industry.
Diego Loyzaga’s Personal Background
Diego was born in San Juan, Metro Manila in May 21, 1995. Diego Loyzaga’s parents are Teresa Loyzaga and Cesar Montano. He has a maternal half-brother, Joseph Dizon, and several half-siblings in his father’s side.
The young actor came from a family of celebrities. Aside from his parents being both in the showbiz arena, he is the nephew of actress Bing Loyzaga. The actor is the grandson of Filipino basketball legend Carlos Loyzaga and nephew of Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players Joey Loyzaga and Chito Loyzaga.
Diego’s Showbiz Career
Diego Loyzaga’s showbiz career started when he was 15 years old. He inked a three-year exclusive contract with ABS-CBN Network. He’s vocal that joining showbiz is his own decision and not simply because his parents are both in the same field.
Diego starred in several hit projects including Mara Clara in 2011, Growing Up in 2012, Mirabella in 2014, and Pusong Ligaw in 2017. He is also a part of the 2018 television series Los Bastardos but his role was cut short as he made an exit for some personal issues.
Diego Loyzaga-Cesar Montano Issue
It is no secret to the public that there were rough patches in the Diego Loyzaga-Cesar Montano relationship. He has several half-siblings in his father’s side including the veteran actor’s daughters with his ex-wife, Sunshine Cruz.
There were previous instances when Diego threw a hissy fit against Cesar on social media. He claimed that his father denied him since he was born and the actor also allegedly accused him and his maternal half-brother of being involved in drugs.
Currently, there are no updates as to the current relationship between Diego and Cesar. Meanwhile, one thing is for sure, he is very close to his step-mom, Sunshine, and his half-sisters.
