Angel Locsin’s Personal Background
Born on April 23, 1985 in Sta. Maria, Bulacan, Angel Locsin’s real name is Angelica Locsin Colmenares-Arce. She is the daughter of Angelo Colmenares who was the one who raised the actress. There are no details about her mother.
Angel is a graduate of St. James College in Quezon City in elementary and the University of Santo Tomas High School in Manila in her secondary education. She took a short course for fashion design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London.
Last August 7, 2021, Angel confirmed that she is married to businessman-film producer Neil Arce. They were friends for seven (7) years already before they became a couple. They got engaged in 2019 and they planned for a wedding in November 2020 but it was not pushed through due to the pandemic. The celebrity couple had a civil wedding that gathered only a few of their family and friends but they are planning for a Christian wedding when the situation gets better.
Angel Locsin’s Showbiz Career
The actress first hooked the showbiz spotlight as a Kapuso talent. Her showbiz career started in 2001. She was part of the Kapuso teen-oriented series Click and the TV series Ang Iibigin Ay Ikaw. The first breakthrough of the actress took place when she became one of the main casts of the fantasy TV series Mulawin. She was paired with Richard Gutierrez and their on-screen tandem hooked the viewers.
In 2005, Angel played Darna, one of her most popular roles. She also starred in Majika and Asian Treasures. In 2007, the actress transferred to ABS-CBN network. She top-billed Imortal, Lobo, and The Legal Wife. She is also one of the judges of the Kapamilya talent search show Pilipinas Got Talent.
