PAGASA Says Northeast Monsoon to Bring Rains Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over parts of the country.
On Saturday (March 4, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon will bring cloudy skies with rains over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Mountain Province, Ifugao, Kalinga, Apayao and Aurora.
“Patuloy na umiiral ang northeast monsoon o amihan sa Luzon kung saan may dala itong maulap na kalangitan at pag ulan dito sa silangang bahagi,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castaneda said.
Amihan will be affecting Luzon. Amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with light rains over Western Visayas and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over rest of Visayas.
The weather agency advised the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate with at times heavy rains over severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas, and the western section of Mindanao will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
