Liza Soberano “Ungrateful”? Ogie Diaz Reacts To Her Controversial Vlog

This is what Ogie Diaz said about Liza Soberano and her controversial vlog.

LIZA SOBERANO – The controversial vlog of Liza Soberano earned mixed comments and Ogie Diaz has this reaction to it.

Saying that she was caged by sacrificing herself and her freedom to ‘present Liza Soberano to the world’ (a name she did not even choose for herself) has caught the attention of many people. Some have appreciated Liza’s bravery to finally speak up and step out of the box, however, others stressed her “ungrateful” tone in her choice of words in her latest vlog called “This is Me”.

She released a 14-minute vlog on Sunday, February 26, where she confessed her struggle with all the restrictions she’d undergone in the past years.

“I’ve been in six feature films, over 500 episodes of teleserye, and have only really dabbled into three main genres – romance, comedy, and drama. Since I was 16, I had only really worked side by side with one main co-star, with the same production company, rotating around the same three directors. During all those years, I was never really asked for my input, my thoughts, my ideas,” she said.

She acknowledged that all those rules were for her own good and the protection of her career, however, it became a career she didn’t have a say in.

And during those times, her manager was Ogie Diaz. Just recently, Diaz expressed his reaction to the loud buzz created by her new vlog.

Referring to the years she was caged, Diaz thanked her for still following what was instructed to her. Perhaps, her obedience back then was a key role in the success she made.

Diaz denied her statement about not having a say.

He said, “Anak, lagi kang binibigyan ng chance to say your piece, your opinion, your suggestion. Pinapakinggan ka din naman kung may complaints ka.”

But he added his acknowledgment as to how Liza’s prominence contributed to making him the “Ogie Diaz” that he is now. He just reminded her that she was not entirely treated like a robot. She was also heard.

He believes her fame and success were not just because of his and the network’s efforts but also because of her dedication and hard work.

Regarding her statement about not having a chance to choose a screen name for her own, he reminded her of this. The name “Liza Soberano” given to her by Malou Santos is the name that helped her and her family.

“Nabigyan mo ng bahay at magandang buhay ang daddy mo. Nakakapagpadala ka rin ng tulong sa mommy mo sa States. Naibili mo ng bahay sa Amerika ang lolo at lola mo na kumupkop sa inyo ng kapatid mong si Justin nong mga bata pa kayo sa Amerika. Lahat ng yan dahil sa’yo, dahil sa pagiging ‘Liza Soberano’ mo, anak,” he said.
