Triathlete Claire Adorna has won Philippine’s first gold medal in the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore.
Adorna bested the other triathletes on Saturday clocking two hours, 13 minutes and eight seconds to own the gold medal.
While, compatriot Kim Mangrobang landed second with a time of two hours, 14 minutes and 26 seconds.
The Filipinas were able to conquer the race consisting of a 1.5 kilometer swim in open water, a 40-kilometer bike ride and a 10-kilometer run at Singapore’s East Coast Parkway.
With the first gold addition, Philippines ranked fourth in the medal tally with four silvers and three bronzes.
Singapore rests in the lead with 21 medals including 10 golds.
