PAGASA Says Amihan & LPAs Trough to Bring Rainy Weather Condition Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon and trough of a low-pressure area will bring rains over parts of the country.
On Wednesday (February 15, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and LPAs trough will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the trough of a Low-Pressure Area will bring cloudy skies, scattered rain, and thunderstorms over Visayas and Mindanao. The amihan will be affecting Luzon.
The trough of a low-pressure area will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
The LPA has a slim chance of developing into a tropical cyclone and remains outside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The northeast monsoon will bring similar weather condition over Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Aurora, Quezon, and Bicol Region.
Amihan will also bring partly cloudy to at times cloudy condition with light rains.
“Medyo lumalakas din uli yung northeast monsoon kaya posible sa mga susunod na araw muling bubugso yung malalamig na temperatura sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon kasama na yung kamaynilaan at sa mga karatig na lalawigan,” Pagasa weather specialist Ober Badrina.
The coastal water condition over Northern Luzon will be moderate to rough. Visayas and the rest of Luzon will have moderate to rough seas. Mindanao will experience slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
The weather agency raised a gale warning over Batanes, Babuyan Island, Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan.
