CHINA—a newborn baby, abandoned by his parents, has been found alive in a cardboard box after being buried for eight days in the cemetery in southern China.
Having a cleft lip, the baby boy was abandoned in Tian Dong Country but was miraculously discovered by a middle-aged woman after it was being buried for at least 8 days.
As reported, the woman heard the baby crying while she was collecting herbs.
Lu Fenglian, shocked to hear the strange sounds, ran to ask for help believing the mounted to be haunted.
Fenglian asked the help of Zhao Shimin, a priest and returned to the area where she heard the crying baby.
Upon realizing that the crying baby was coming from the underground, Shimin called the police who arrived on the area and rescued the baby.
The baby was rushed to the hospital for emergency medical treatment and kept in an incubator for several days.
As of now, the baby’s condition has stabilized and he was removed from the incubator.
It had been revealed that the young couple was traced to be the parents of the baby, however, the Public Security Bureau has not arrested the couple due to lack of evidence.
