Walang Pasok – LGUs Declare Class Suspensions for Friday (January 13, 2023)
WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declared class suspensions in some areas due to the inclement weather.
The low-pressure area and the shear line continue to lash the country with strong winds and heavy rains. The two weather systems cause flood and landslides over some parts of the country.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that the LPA has been last spotted at 140 kilometers east of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and inside the Philippine area of responsibility.
The LPA will continue to affect the country’s weather condition over Visayas and Mindanao.
On Friday (January 13, 2023), various local government units have declared class suspensions in some areas due to the bad weather. The class cancellations have been declared to ensure the safety of the students and school personnel.
- Calbayog City, Samar — all levels (public and private)
- Negros Occidental — all levels (public and private)
- Zamboanga del Norte — all levels (public and private)
- Zamboanga City — all levels (public and private)
- Borongan City, Eastern Samar — all levels (public and private) and government work
- Danao City, Cebu — all levels (public and private), also no work for teachers and non-teaching personnel
- Oroquieta City, Misamis Occidental — all levels (public and private)
- Magsaysay, Misamis Oriental — all levels (public and private)
- Liloan, Cebu — all levels (public and private)
