PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Friday (December 16, 2022)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather is expected in Metro Manila and most parts of the country.

On Friday (December 16, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon and localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will bring overcast skies and rain showers over Cagayan Valley, Aurora, the northern portion of Quezon, Ilocos region, and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

“Sa nalalabing bahagi naman ng Luzon, kasama na diyan ang Metro Manila, generally fair weather conditions throughout the day ang ating mararanasan, at may tsansa tayo ng biglaan at panandaliang buhos ng ulan na dulot ng localized thunderstorms,” Pagasa weather specialist Daniel James Villamil said.

The amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with light rains over Ilocos Region and the Cordillera Administrative Region.

The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

Clear and dry weather with chances of rain are expected over entire Visayas.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon and Eastern Visayas will be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.

However, fisherfolks using small sea crafts were advised against setting sail in affected areas.
