PAGASA Says Amihan to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that generally fair weather is expected over Luzon while amihan will affect the remaining parts of the country.
On Wednesday (December 14, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Northeast Monsoon will be affecting Northern Luzon. It will bring cloudy condition with rains over Cagayan Valley and Aurora.
The amihan will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Ilocos Region and Cordillera Administrative Region.
“Maulap na kalangitan na may pag-ulan ang mararanasan dito sa Cagayan Valley at Aurora dulot yan ng northeast monsoon samantala naman sa Metro Manila, maging sa nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon, magiging maaliwalas ang ating panahon maliban na lamang sa mga tsansa ng mahihinang pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Grace Castañeda said.
The ITCZ / localized Thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over whole Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro as well as Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon will be moderate to rough. Slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions are expected over the remaining parts of the country.
