Ultimate Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga was named as the newest Shopee ambassador and netizens think that this post that Lazada shared was a subtle attack.

Shopee and Lazada are among the leading online shopping companies in the Philippines. Just recently, Toni received bashing after it was announced that she is the new endorser of Shopee.

There were netizens who said that they will switch now to Lazada because they do not like the fact that Shopee has chosen someone like Toni to represent the brand. Despite the negative reactions, the actress-host expressed how grateful she is because this endorsement project has become popular online and become a trending topic.

In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz, his guest co-host Ate Dick mentioned the Twitter post that Lazada shared. It is because many netizens thought that it was a way of throwing shade a Toni Gonzaga.

“Pwede gumamit ng vouchers sa Lazada nang sabay-sabay! Make sure to use them when you check out para mas makatipid,” Lazada stated. Then, the online shopping company added this sentence: “At para good shot ka kay Mama, maghugas ka na rin ng mga nakatambak sa lababo.”

It was easy for netizens to say that “sabay-sabay” was for the new Shopee endorser. To recall, the said word became popular during the election season as Toni would say this to the audience during her song performances at political rallies.

The second part of the post was concluded by a netizen to be referring to the character of Toni Gonzaga in the movie Four Sisters and a Wedding. In the said movie, the ALLTV star played the character Teddy who did not have a good relationship with her mother.
