PAGASA Says Habagat Will Continue to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the habagat will bring rainshowers and thunderstorms over some parts of the country.
On Tuesday (September 20, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Southwest Monsoon will be affecting Central and Southern Luzon.
“May mga kumpulang kaulapan sa loob ng PAR (Philippine area of Responsibility), na nagdadala ng mahina, katamtaman, hanggang sa malakas na pag-ulan,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
Habagat will bring cloudy conditions with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila, Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bataan, and Zambales will experience similar weather condition.
Partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, and entire Visayas as well as the remaining parts of the country.
Aurelio said that some parts of Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will have fair weather and clear skies due to localized thunderstorms.
“Samantala ang nalalabing bahagi ng Luzon ay inaasahan ang maganda at maaliwalas na panahon maliban sa mga isolated na pagulan dulot ng thunderstorms,” Aurelio added.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over the entire country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
