The heartbreaking video footage of a PWD woman crawling on her way home after making a living goes viral online.
Persons with disabilities (PWDs) include those who have long-term physical, mental, intellectual, or sensory impairments which in interaction with various barriers may hinder their full and effective participation in society on an equal basis with others.
Most PWDs could not do ordinary things that a normal person can do. However, some disabled people are still doing their best to prove themselves. PWDs even excel in some fields because of their determination.
The Philippine government and numerous non-government associations sought to encourage and help improve the well-being of people with disabilities.
A Facebook user named Migyat Gallardo Villanueva has shared the video footage of a disabled woman who was crawling on her way back to the mountain. The video circulates online and elicits comments from the netizens.
In the video, it can be seen that the woman identified as ‘Paki’ is crawling along the road on her way back to the mountain of Malita, Davao Occidental. She was using her bare hands and knees to crawl.
The lady is enduring the hardships she had to suffer just to make a living and earn money for her family. It can be noticed that she was having a hard time traveling because of her unstable path.
The hardworking woman’s determination and perseverance in life might serve as an inspiration.
