Carlo Aquino Fans Excited About His First International Movie

Carlo Aquino to star in a movie by a Japanese film company

Kapamilya actor Carlo Aquino officially signed a contract for his first international film and this brought excitement to his fans.

To recall, Carlo was supposed to be part of the hit Netflix Korean series Squid Game. A few days after the popular show premiered on the streaming platform, Carlo shared a photo on his Instagram Story sharing with everyone the letter that confirmed his part in the series.

The letter was from the writer of the show Hwang Dong-hyuk. However, due to the travel restrictions brought by the pandemic, he wasn’t able to go to South Korea for filming. He even shared that he even asked his ex-partner Trina Candaza to stay in Korea for a month while he is filming but this did not happen.

Despite losing that big opportunity, Carlo Aquino stayed positive as he said that he believes there will be other opportunities that will come along the way. Indeed, a recent opportunity knocked on the actor’s door.

Star Magic recently confirmed that Carlo will be doing an international film. “@jose_liwanag lands his first lead international role!” ABS-CBN’s talent management firm stated in the caption.

Carlo, together with Star Magic head Direk Lauren Dyogi, signed the contract with the Philippine independent production house High Road Creatives and Japan’s 034 Productions. It was also said that the filming is set to begin early next year.
