Carlo Aquino almost starred in ‘Squid Game’
Carlo is one of the actors in the Philippine entertainment industry who started their career at a young age. He was a critically-acclaimed child star and turned out to be one of the A-list actors in the Kapamilya network.
In his recent Instagram post, Carlo shared that he almost did an international series. He reposted on his IG Story the post that he shared back in June 2020. “A hand written note from a brilliant director. Wooop!! Couldnt be more excited to work with you guys once this pandemic is over,” he wrote in the caption of his post.
The photo featured the note from South Korean director Hwang Dong-Hyuk. In the note, the director thanked Carlo Aquino for his efforts and said that he is looking forward to working with him.
In his recent throwback post, the actor shared this with the caption: “This was supposedly a role for #SquidGame [crying emoji].”
Based on the article in Random Republika, Beatrice Candaza, the sister of Carlo’s partner Trina Candaza, revealed that the actor missed the opportunity to be part of the now-trending series because of the travel restrictions last year.
Beatrice added that she remember Trina called her saying that they would be staying in Korea for a few months for the shooting. However, the couple, unfortunately, was not able to leave the country. “I’m sure there would be more opportunities!” she said.
Meanwhile, Carlo Aquino is currently part of the series La Vida Lena with Erich Gonzalez, Kit Thompson, JC de Vera, and Sofia Andres.
