PAGASA Says Ridge of High-Pressure Area to Bring Fair Weather Condition Over Parts of PH
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the ridge of high pressure area will bring fair weather condition over some parts of the country.
On Monday (August 29, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released the latest weather condition. The ridge of high pressure area will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Ridge of High Pressure Area (HPA) is extending over the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas. The Localized Thunderstorms will be affecting Northern and Central Luzon.
Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.
The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over the provinces of Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Apayao, Abra, Benguet, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya and Aurora.
Luzon can expect a fair weather condition with possible rain showers in the afternoon due to the ridge of high pressure area. Visayas and Mindanao regions can expected fair to slightly cloudy weather.
“Itong mga thunderstorm na ito ay kadalasan nabubuo yan sa bandang hapon o gabi,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
PAGASA is also monitoring Tropical Storm “Hinnamnor” (international name) outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR). It is expected to enter PAR on Wednesday or Thursday.
The weather agency also warned the public that a low-pressure area may develop within the week, which may affect Northern Luzon.
