Vice President Jejomar Binay’s New Satisfactory Rating from SWS

Social Weather Stations (SWS ) released their latest net satisfaction survey on Government officials Monday, July 21, 2014. These were printed in the Business World newspaper on the same day.

Vice President Jejomar BinayThe survey shows that Binay’s satisfactory rate dropped 6 points compared to March 2014 survey. From a +73% net satisfactory rating to +67% registered net rating on June 27-30 survey. The survey involves 1200 Filipino adults who were interviewed face to face.

This survey was conducted after Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., and Sen. Jinggoy Estrada were arrested because of their controversial involvement in the multi-billion-peso pork barrel scam. The two Senators were considered the key allies of Binay.

However, compared to other officials, Binay’s rating is still the highest. It also recorded a 25% satisfactory rate to President Benigno Aquino III that is considered his lowest rating way back in 2010.

It seems that after the controversy, Binay is still unaffected. In fact he remains to be the top contender in the 2016 Presidential election which is shown in other surveys.

On the other hand, according to the survey, the satisfactory rate of Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr, Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno and Senate President Franklin Drilon slightly went up.

Drilon’s net score had a three point improvement but still in the moderate category.
