To prove that their strong partnership goes beyond acting and into production as well, celebrity couple Coco Martin and Julia Montes are working together as co-producers in the upcoming series “Sigabo.”
In this series, they are not just co-producers; they are also co-stars. During a recent interview, Coco and Julia shared how they support each other behind the scenes while dealing with the responsibilities of producing projects together. According to the couple, teamwork and open communication play a huge role in making their collaboration successful.
According to the actor, he really involved Julia in the process, as there are things she can do that he can’t.
“Talaga ininvolve ko siya. Sabi ko yung mga bagay na hindi ko na kayang gawin, mga hindi na kaya ng katawan ko–– like kumbaga sa mga finances. Basta pagdating sa creative, in all aspects, ako yan. Pero pagdating sa money matters, si Juls yan–– hindi ko na kaya yan,” he explained.
On the other hand, Julia admires how they balance each other for this collaboration. She appreciated Coco’s passion and dedication to his craft, and working closely with him inspired her to become more hands-on and responsible in their projects.
Meanwhile, it was announced that “Sigabo” would start airing immediately after the release of the “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” finale. However, this has been moved to a different date, “as preparations continue to make it an exciting offering that will bring a new viewing experience,” according to ABS-CBN.
According to Coco, they decided not to continue with the original plan after realizing that everyone needed time to rest. He noticed that the staff were already exhausted from the previous series, which affected their productivity on set.
Although they had already begun filming and preparations for several scenes were underway, the fatigue among the team had become too overwhelming to ignore.
