After three heartbreaking losses, 38-year-old actress and vlogger Alex Gonzaga and her husband Mikee Morada announced that they are pregnant. They are expecting their first baby together, and in a post, they chronicled their pregnancy journey.
“After almost 6 years of marriage and 3 heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord. While preparing for [in vitro fertilization], the Lord Jesus blessed us with a natural pregnancy,” Gonzaga wrote in the caption of her post.
“By God’s grace, our prayers have been answered, and we are finally going to be mommy and daddy,” she added.
Her journey
To recall, Alex and Mikee got engaged in December 2019 and married in November 2020.
Alex’s first miscarriage was in 2021, not long after their wedding. They kept most of the details about this heartbreaking chapter in their lives private, but Alex later admitted that the experience deeply affected her emotionally and spiritually, as they were excited to start a family together.
In 2023, Alex revealed her second miscarriage. She was more vocal about the pain of losing a child. It was difficult for her to stay strong amid the public pressure and questions about motherhood.
Their third miscarriage happened in December 2024. It was Mikee who talked about this in an interview. This time, they heard a heartbeat, but despite doing everything, they still lost it.
During a follow-up checkup, doctors informed them that the embryo no longer had a heartbeat. The heartbreaking news left the couple devastated, but they leaned on faith, family, and each other for strength.
