Japan Former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe Brought to Hospital
JAPAN – Japanese ex-prime minister Shinzo Abe was rushed to the hospital after an apparent shooting while he was delivering a speech.
One of the Japanese former government officials who has served the country for several years is former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. He was the prime minister of Japan from 2006 to 2007 and he was elected in the position again in 2012 and served until 2020. He’s also the president of the Liberal Democratic Party.
Prior to sitting as the highest official in the Japanese government, Abe was the chief cabinet secretary from 2005 to 2006 under then prime minister Junichiro Koizumi.
However, recently, breaking news reports about Japan ex-Prime Minister Shinzo Abe crossed the surface. Based on a report on Inquirer, the Japanese former Prime Minister was rushed to the hospital following an apparent shooting.
Citing NHK, Abe was delivering a speech in the city of Nara in western Japan when they heard an apparent shot twice. After it, the Japanese former Prime Minister collapsed and fell to the ground with blood.
NHK said that a male suspect was detained. As of this writing, there are still no further details regarding the incident. More updates may be posted soon.
