Bongbong Marcos Jr. Invites United States President Joe Biden To Attend His Inauguration
BONGBONG MARCOS – Presumptive president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. invited US President Joe Biden to attend his inauguration on June 30.
Bongbong Marcos Jr. is the son of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. His father ruled the Philippines for 21 years. Decades after his dad was overthrown, Bongbong is now set to reclaim power for his family.
According to partial and unofficial results accessed through COMELEC’s transparency server, BBM leads by a wide margin with VP Leni Robredo trailing behind by over 16M votes. He already thanked everyone who joined him in his campaign and supported him.
After his election triumph, Bongbong Marcos Jr. visited the tomb of his father at the Libingan ng mga Bayani in Taguig City. In one of the photos uploaded on his FB page, BBM appeared to be in tears as he stood in front of his dad’s tomb.
Recently, BBM received a congratulatory message from US President Joe Biden. In a statement released by the White House, it stated that Biden “looks forward to working with the President-elect to continue strengthening the U.S.-Philippine Alliance, while expanding bilateral cooperation on a wide range of issues, including the fight against COVID-19, addressing the climate crisis, promoting broad-based economic growth, and respect for human rights.”

During a phone call with Joe Biden on Thursday, May 12 (Manila time), Bongbong Marcos Jr. invited Biden to attend his inauguration on June 30. “I have also invited President Biden to my inaugural on June 30, which could further fortify the relationship of the two countries,” BBM said in a statement.
Marcos also assured the American president that “the Philippines has always held the United States in high regard as a friend, an ally, and a partner.”
