Toni Gonzaga has shown unwavering support for BBM

Multimedia Star Toni Gonzaga congratulated her “ninong” leading presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.

Toni officially started campaigning for BBM and the UniTeam when she hosted the proclamation rally last February. From that, she has joined several rallies around the country with her trademark “Roar” performance.

Toni is not a neophyte when it comes to dealing with bashing, especially after she declared her support for the UniTeam. Amid the criticisms, she became an inspiration to her fellow UniTeam supporters to just shrug off their shoulders when negativity were thrown at them.

On May 10, following the Comelec partial and unofficial count that has reached 97 percent, Toni Gonzaga congratulated her ninong. Bongbong Marcos is her and Paul Soriano’s godfather in their wedding.

In her Instagram Story, the actress-host shared a video showing that she hugged the soon-to-be-declared president of the Philippines. Toni wrote, “Congratulations Tito Bong” and tagged to the account of “President @bongbongmarcos.”

She also shared the post from BBM’s IG Story showing her performance of the song Umagang Kay Ganda during a campaign rally.

Toni Gonzaga is somehow close to the family of Bongbong Marcos because Paul Soriano is the cousin of BBM’s wife Liza Araneta-Marcos. In an interview, Direk Paul shared that he and Toni would have Sunday lunches with the family of his Tita Liza and they would talk about anything under the sun.

The filmmaker also shared that BBM would call him and Toni every time they are get bashed because of their political views. Direk Paul said that the son of former President Ferdinand Marcos would apologize to them because of the criticisms.
