Construction Workers Cook Dog as “Pulutan” After It Dies of Hit-and-Run, Fur Parent Seeks Justice
A fur parent is seeking justice after her beloved dog dies of hit-and-run and construction workers cook it as “pulutan”.
2nd Lieutenant Euvian Chloe Jualan and her family were seeking justice for her beloved fur baby named “Mookey”, which is a mixed breed of aspin and golden retriever. Mookey died of hit and run in Pavia, Iloilo.
The 13-year-old dog reportedly escaped from their home but got victimized by hit-and-run in Barangay Ungka Uno. The family doesn’t have an idea what happened to their dog and went to the barangay hall.
The barangay officials also give the location of the incident near the place of construction workers. The fur parents immediately went to the place but got shocked after the construction workers cooked their dog.
The foreman is the alleged mastermind of cooking the ‘dog’. The family coordinated with the barangay to identify and locate the foreman of a construction company. The barangay kagawad claimed that he is already coordinating with the foreman.
The Republic Act 8485 or Animal Welfare protects and promotes the welfare of all animals in the Philippines by supervising and regulating the establishment and operations of all facilities utilized for breeding, maintaining, keeping, treating, or training of all animals either as objects of trade or as household pets.
According to the Pavia police, the incident has been recorded for blotter.
