Bela Padilla shared her thoughts on her latest project with Zanjoe Marudo
Kapamilya stars Bela Padilla and Zanjoe Marudo had the chance to work together again and the actress was asked if there was “ilangan” since they were romantically linked before.
In 2017, they did the series My Dear Heart and it was known to many showbiz fans that there were rumors linking them romantically. During a recent interview, for their new movie 366, which Bela Padilla wrote and directed also, the actress was asked if she and Zanjoe Marudo felt awkward while doing this project.
“The last time we do (project) with Zanjoe was 2017. Kung meron mang link or anything, it was on 2017. So, by the time we shot this film in 2021, I think we both already, I don’t want to speak for Zanjoe, pero (for me) I already got passed that stage of my life,” Bela said, based on the article in Bandera.
She also said that she is a different person in 2021 from the person that she was in 2017. “So, okay na okay na po ako and also at the same time, I made sure na kinakausap ko na si Z (tawag sa aktor) bago kami dumating sa set. I already reached out and texted him to check base if were both okay with I remember personally sending the script,” the actress added.
Bela Padilla also shared that she would ask her leading man about ideas that he might have or suggestions. She wanted this project to be a collaborative one not just on Zanjoe’s part but also for her other leading man JC Santos. The actress also stressed that she did not want any negative emotions on the set while they were working.
