Presidential Candidate Manny Pacquiao Promises P50k Minimum Wage for Frontliners If He Wins 2022 Elections
Presidential candidate Manny Pacquiao made a proposal to raise the minimum wage of frontliners to P50, 000.
Over the past few years, some frontliners in the country have been very busy and exhausted attending COVID-19 patients. However, most of them are struggling with their finances due to their smaller salary.
On Tuesday (March 22, 2022), Senator Manny Pacquiao proposed to increase the minimum wage salary of frontliners to P50, 000. He is pushing for the salary hike due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic in the country.
Pacquiao also pledged that the minimum wage for health workers including nurses will become P50, 000 once he won the presidency. He sympathized for the frontliners who were struggling with their current salary.
The boxer turned politician also promised to boost the COVID-19 vaccination program but will not force the public to take the vaccine although they do not want to. He will leave the choice to the Filipinos.
The aspiring president also said that he will retain the face mask policy once he won the 2022 elections.
