Several polling bodies released survey results last month showing that the tandem of Bongbong Marcos and Sara Duterte is leading the presidential and vice-presidential race.

Based on a report from News5, Aika Robredo acknowledged the lead of the BBM-Sara tandem. She said that the survey result suggests that their camp should work harder in campaigning.

Yung sa surveys, kami sa bahay, naniniwala kami sa science, sa numbers. But at the same time, to put it into context, it’s just really a snapshot of the sentiments of the sample size at that time,” the daughter of VP Leni Robredo said.

For Aika, this is a sign that there are still a lot of things to be done but the survey results do not discourage them. “Hindi rin kami discouraged and fixated sa nakikita namin sa numbers,” she said.

I think test of character din siya na we focus on what we can on the things that we can do, on the things that we can work on,” Aika added.

Meanwhile, VP Leni Robredo explained her reason for running for the highest government position in the Philippines even though she previously said that she won’t run anymore. She pointed out during the presidential debate on February 27 that disinformation should be addressed and politics that is full of corruption must be hindered to happen again.
