Julia Barretto is having a new image as an actress
Kapamilya actress Julia Barretto said that doing “hubadera roles” is part of her growing up in the entertainment industry.
Julia has started her career in showbiz at a young age. Basically, she grew up before the public’s eyes. From doing wholesome roles on TV and movies, the daughter of Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla is taking a new path when it comes to her career.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, the 24-year-old actress said that she is opening her doors to more mature roles. “It’s a leap of faith I have to take. It’s part of growing up,” Julia Barretto said as she showed some skin in her recent movie Bahay na Pula.
She also promised to do more in her next project to show how committed and passionate she is when it comes to her craft. Julia said that she is not restricting her anymore when it comes to her acting projects.
“Ayoko rin namang masyadong magkaroon ng limitations, kasi siyempre, parang binibigyan ko rin ng limitations ‘yung mga taong nasa likod ng creative process ng pelikul,” the Kapamilya actress said.
She is also giving liberty to the people who are trusting her to do certain projects and she wanted to return the favor by giving her best in front of the camera. “So, as much as possible, pinahahalagahan ko yun, iniingatan ko ‘yun. And I’m 24, tumatanda na rin ako, so wala na akong excuse na umayaw,” the actress said.
Aside from Bahay na Pula, Julia Barretto also has a mature role in the movie Expensive Candy with Carlo Aquino.
