Ping Lacson Says He Has All The Traits That Will Qualify Him To Be Next President
PING LACSON – Presidential hopeful Panfilo “Ping” Lacson said he is the most qualified, competent, and experienced presidential bet.
Senator Panfilo Lacson rose in the government through the Philippine National Police (PNP). He was the former PNP chief of former president Joseph Estrada.
After Erap was ousted, Ping won a seat in the Senate and proceeded to win 2 more terms. Under the admin of late president Noynoy Aquino, Ping stood as the rehabilitation czar for Typhoon Yolanda.
Panfilo Lacson filed his certificate of candidacy on October 6, 2021. His running mate is Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III. This is his second attempt at the presidency.
The 73-year-old politician answered questions from King of Talk Boy Abunda in this first of a series of interviews with the presidential aspirants. During the interview, he was asked why wouldn’t he vote for any of his rivals for the presidency.

Ping Lacson said that he has all the traits that will qualify him to be the next president of the country. He said he’s also willing to sign a waiver of his bank secrecy rights and encourage other politicians to do the same.
“I’ll be a bit arrogant: I’m the most qualified, I’m the most competent, I’m the most experienced…”
“As (former PNP) chief I was able to fight corruption, and as senator I am still doing it. That’s why I have many enemies in the Senate. I block insertions. I don’t get pork barrel. Pork barrel per se is not bad. But the perception is that those who use it get commissions. That is why I decided not to use it,” he added.
The presidential hopeful also advised the Filipinos to be more discerning when exercising their right to vote. He said they must not be swayed by “politics of entertainment.”
