Leni Robredo’s Office Falls Victim to Prank Order after Receiving P100k Worth of Groceries
Vice President Leni Robredo’s office received P100k worth of groceries they allegedly didn’t order after falling victim to prank order scams.
On Twitter, VP spokesperson Barry Gutierrez revealed that the OVP was the victim of a prank order scheme with presidential candidate Leni Robredo’s name. According to his tweet, the prankster placed multiple grocery purchases totaling P100,000 on MetroMart, an online delivery service.

A screenshot of an order allegedly placed under Robredo’s name was provided by the spokesman. It was addressed to her office in New Manila, Quezon City, and the payment method was cash on delivery. Gutierrez provided a screenshot of one of the orders, which cost P16,040 in total.
“May nagpanggap na si VP Leni at nag multiple orders ng abot P100K+ sa Metromart. Pinadeliver sa OVP na COD,” read Gutierrez’s post.
“Hindi na inisip ang mga delivery rider na hinassle at inaksaya ang oras. Ganito na ba talaga sila katakot sa atin?” he said condemning the actions of the prankster.
MetroMart has responded to the matter by stating that scam prevention procedures have been increased to ensure that it does not happen again. The orders have been canceled, and the items will be returned, according to Gutierrez.
“We specifically insisted that nothing be charged to the delivery riders. We are super thankful to them for their assistance and cooperation,” he said.
The representative went on to say that they are looking into the scam further and talking with lawyers. He further claimed that Robredo compensated the motorcyclists for the two hours they missed as a result of the deception.
