Pres. Duterte’s Net Satisfaction Rating Result from SWS Survey

DUTERTE’S NET SATISFACTION RATING – The survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS) brought results indicating a drop in the net satisfaction rating of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte.

There are only a few months left to the term of Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte as the Election 2022 is nearing. Previously, the 76-year-old Chief Executive was nominated as the vice-presidential bet of his party, PDP-Laban Cusi wing.

Pres. Duterte accepted the nomination of his political party. However, many were surprised when the filing of candidacy period came and the President announced his retirement from politics. According to him, he is planning to go home to Davao City and prepare his defense to the investigation of the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Instead, it was his former long-time aide and Senator Bong Go who filed his candidacy for vice president under PDP-Laban. According to the President, his decision to retire from politics is a response to the call of the people.

Recently, a survey was conducted by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) regarding Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s net satisfaction rating. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the survey yield results showing a drop in the President’s net satisfaction rating.

According to the report, there were 1,200 adult Filipinos who took part in the poll held. The results showed that Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s net satisfaction rating dropped by 10 points to 52 percent in the 3rd quarter of 2021.

Based on the SWS poll results, 67 percent of the respondents are satisfied with the performance of the President while 15 percent are not and 11 percent are undecided. The pollster stated that the President’s net performance rating is still “very good”.

According to SWS results, there is a decrease in satisfaction to Pres. Duterte’s performance in all areas except in Mindanao. In Luzon and Visayas, his satisfaction rating dropped from “very good to good”. In Mindanao, it’s maintained in the “excellent” category.

In terms of gender, Pres. Duterte’s net satisfaction rating dropped in both male and female but maintained in the “very good” category in both genders. The results showed a drop in both urban and rural areas and as well as in all age groups.
