Atty. Alex Lacson Announces Bid for Vice President

ATTY. ALEX LACSON – Lawyer Alex Lacson announced his intent to run for vice president in the 2022 Elections. Here’s his statement.

The Election 2022 is just a few months from now and the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) is about to start accepting certificates of candidacy (COCs) from those who intend to run. Several politicians have announced their political plans for the next election.

Currently, the voter registration is ongoing. There are undeniably long queues in shopping malls and in other areas designated for the voter registration thus there are calls for the extension of the registration period.

According to the Commission on Elections (COMELEC), they cannot afford to extend the registration period for more than a week but they assured to convene over the possibility of extending it. The Congress is asking for a one-month extension of the voter registration.

Recently, another political aspirant announced his desire to run for a certain position in Election 2022. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Atty. Alex Lacson will run for vice president in the next election.

Atty. Alex Lacson, a book author, will take his vice presidential bid under the Ang Kapatiran Party. Based on the report, for now, the political party is not supporting a presidential candidate. The lawyer expressed that their national council is currently talking over possible support to a presidential candidate.

Lacson stressed that the public will just know if the party will be supporting a presidential candidate after all of those who intend to run for president have filed their COCs.
