Pavia PNP Releases Statement on Alleged “Aswang” Spotted in Iloilo

Pavia PNP chief has finally released a statement regarding the alleged sighting of “Aswang” at subdivision in Iloilo.

Previously, the video footage of a creepy creature, which was believed to be an “aswang” crawling inside of a subdivision in Pavia, Iloilo goes viral online. The video elicits comments from the social media users.

The video shows the unknown entity running and hides beside a plant. A few moments later, the creature suddenly jumped and crawled along the road of a subdivision in Pavia, which has been witnessed by a lady resident.

The allegedly “aswang” seems trying to escape the patrol car owned by LGU Pavia roaming around the subdivision. The footage has been recorded last July 30, 2021, which allegedly causes fear among the residents in the area.

Unfortunate, the CCTV footage failed to determine the direction where the entity is heading but several people believe that it was just a human being chased by the LGU.

Recently, PMAJ Rolando Araño of Pavia PNP released a statement saying that Iloilo residents should not be afraid of the alleged ‘aswang’. He denied that it was a supernatural creature and claimed that it just a person trying to escape from the authorities.

Araño said that Pavia LGU is implementing stricter rules and regulations to prevent the further spread of the COVID-19 Delta variant. He also explained that the person in the viral video has no face mask, which might be the reason of the latter’s unusual gesture.

The cop also said that the public should help them prevent the Crime Against Property during this time of coronavirus pandemic.
