Elderly Woman Dies of Drowning in Bauan, Batangas
The corpse of an elderly woman who passed away after drowning found along coastal area of Bauan, Batangas last weekend.
Last Sunday afternoon (July 11, 2021), the Philippine National Police is suspecting that the 72-year-old lady died due to a drowning incident. The elderly grandma is a residents of Barangay Aplaya at the town of Bauan.
The victim’s relatives said that they still saw the old grandma swimming at the ocean during that day, according to PNP. The family got alarmed after the senior citizen failed to go home after an hour.
The family immediately seeks help from the barangay officials. The officers quickly conducted a search and rescue and eventually performed a retrieval operation but still failed to found the latter’s body.
The granny’s remains have been found by two residents swimming at the coastal area of Barangay San Miguel in Bauan, Batangas around 5 pm. The senior citizen’s corpse is set to undergo an autopsy.
