Netizen Found Inmate’s Letter for His Loved One at Valenzuela City Jail
A male netizen found an inmate’s letter addressed to a certain ‘Jo’ with a touching message “Salamat sa longganisa ha”.
A social media user named Gersam Oro visited his friend at Valenzuela City Jail and found a letter outside the establishment. The guy realized that the letter came from one of the inmates who want to thank a certain ‘Jo’ for the food.
The letter is also asking the recipient to take care always and wear a raincoat especially during this rainy season. The inmate is asking anyone who can pick up the letter to text it to a certain Jo.
Here is the message written in a tiny half-torn page:
“Pakitxt po, salamat. Jo, salamat ha sa pagdala mo ng pagkain sakin. Ingat ka lagi, dala ka lagi kapote. tag-ulan na eh. sarap ng longganisa ha. Ingat sa pag-drive. W8 mo tao kausap ko lapit na laya,” Gersam said.
However, BJMP spokesperson J/chief insp. Xavier Solda said that such activities are strictly prohibited. Solda explained that the inmates may use it as strategy to contact their colleagues for illegal activities.
“Mayroon na kaming mga karanasan na kung saan pinadadala sa sulat ‘yung pamamaraan pati detalye king papaano magpapasok ng kontrabando, so iyon ang gusto nating maiwasan,” Solda said.
Solda also said that the inmates are allowed to contact and messaged their loved one but they need to undergo the process.
