Is Liza Soberano Planning To Join Miss Universe Pageant?
LIZA SOBERANO – Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano broke her silence on the possibility of joining the Miss Universe pageant.
The Miss Universe pageant has once again taken social media platforms by storm as beautiful ladies from the different countries vied for the crown. It was the 69th edition of the pageant that was held last May 17, 2021 (Philippine Time).
PH was represented by Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo from Iloilo City. She is a graduate of Iloilo Doctors’ College and is a physical therapist by profession.
Rabiya beautifully represented the Philippines in the international stage. A lot of Filipino believed that there’s really a huge chance that she will bring home the 5th crown for the country. Meanwhile, even prior to the coronation day, many Filipinos have already expressed how proud and thankful they are to Rabiya with or without the crown.

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo finished in the Top 21 of the pageant. Amid the MU taking social media platforms by storm, a Facebook page named after Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano posted statements hinting avenge for Mateo in the next pageant.
Visibly, many people are already supportive of Liza in case she will join Miss Universe. Recently, the young actress broke her silence as she disowned the said Facebook page and the posts.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Liza Soberano admitted that she’s “very flattered” that many people wants her to join the Miss Universe pageant but she really thinks that it is not for her. The actress said that she has anxiety whenever she is on stage.
According to Liza, she does not think that she can give to justice to the expectation of the people as she might pass out on stage. Based on the report, the young actress further revealed that whenever she would be on ASAP stage, she’s really very nervous although she would dance and not speak.
“What more if it was for Miss Universe?… I think I would pass out on stage,” she expressed.
With regards to the loss of Rabiya in the Miss Universe 2020, Liza Soberano admitted that she felt hurt for Rabiya when she knew that the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 was not part of the Top 10. Meanwhile, she stressed that she is still a winner for the Filipino people and she did “amazing” on stage.
