Davao Oriental Towns Experienced Flooding Due to Tropical Depression Crising
Several towns in Davao Oriental have experienced massive flooding due to the effects of Tropical Depression Crising.
Tropical Depression Crising continue to bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country. It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
Crising is the third storm to enter the country this tear and expected to make a landfall over Baganga town, Davao Oriental on Thursday evening (May 14, 2021). It was last located near New Kapalong, Davao del Norte.
The state weather bureau PAGASA also raised tropical cyclone wind signal in some areas due to the inclement weather condition brought by the tropical depression.
Recently, the Facebook page “One Mindanao” has shared the photos of flooding in Mati City, Davao Oriental due to the heavy downpour in the areas. The flooding affected the villages; Don Enrique Lopez, Dahican,and Matiao.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office reported that some houses and infrastructures have been damaged by the flood. CDRRMO has sent trucks to evacuate the residents in the area.
