Carmela Corro Tiangco-Cornejo or popularly known as Mel Tiangco, is a Filipino television newscaster and television host. She is also considered as one of the news pillars of GMA Network.
The 65-year-old news anchor has been featured in different news programs and television shows. The female reporter also received numerous awards and nominations from various award-giving bodies.
Recently, GMA News pillar hosted a segment covering the historic Mars landing of Perseverance. She also featured the Filipino-American engineers who exerted their effort for the mission.
During the reporting, the studio suddenly turned into a realistic Red Planet with an animated rover roaming around. The impressive studio graphic and animation captured the attention of the netizens.

Aside from Mars Mission, Tital Mel also gone viral after an animated dragon appeared inside the studio for the celebration of Chinese New Year. She has been tagged as “Mother of Dragons”.
