Megan Young to Take Part on BBC Series “100 Women Season”

The reigning Miss World 2013 Miss Philippines Megan Young will be featured in a British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) series which looks at the challenges, risks and opportunities that women face in the 21st century.

The show titled “100 Women Season” is a month long schedule of reports and programmes on the BBC’s global network of TV, radio and online media.

According to BBC the show “100 Women Season” will seek to shine a light on life for women in the 21st century, the risks, challenges and opportunities they face every day, in every country.

Here are some of the questions to be given to the participants:

How are women faring in the 21st Century economy where you live?

Will women take a bigger role in politics and business? Or is there a “global gl(–foul word(s) removed–) celing”?

Are the demands of motherhood and family life destined to hold back the tide of progress?

Speaking of progress, what about feminism? Does it still have a role?

The series on BBC will culminate with a live debate of 100 women on the 25th of October, to be held at the BBC Radio Theatre, Broadcasting House, London. The 23-year-old Megan Young is looking forward as Miss World representative to interact and be part of the global debate.

Megan Young also took part in an exclusive with interview with BBC just before the weekend wherein she discussed what she sees as her role as Miss World 2013.
