Cordillera Cops Donate P3.4-M Salary to Help Typhoon-hit Victims in Cagayan, Bicol
CORDILLERA COPS- Officers will donate their own salary to help residents recover in the aftermath of one of the strongest typhoons that struck Philippines.
Aside from the human resource and logistical support provided by the Police Regional Office Cordillera (PROC), police officers in the region have also voluntarily donated a portion of their salary to help the rehabilitation efforts in Cagayan Valley and Bicol Region.
According to the report of Manila Bulletin, a total of P3,407,875 were collected from the voluntary contribution of individual personnel of PROCOR. The Abra Police Provincial Office (PPO) donated P535,910.00, Apayao PPO, P157,200, and Baguio City Police Office donated P509,400.

Adding to that, Benguet PPO also donated P532,500; Ifugao PPO, P320,200; Kalinga PPO, P405,900; and Mountain Province PPO, P283,000.00. The Regional Mobile Force Battalion chipped in P297,500.
The Regional Head Quarters also contributed a total of P249,855.00. The Regional Support Units also shared P116,410 of their salaries.
PROCOR Director Brig. Gen. R’Win S. Pagkalinawan handed the check for the collected funds of P2.4 million to Police Regional Office 2 Deputy Director for Administration Brig. Gen. Edgar DM Cagayan.
The turnover was made at Kalinga PPO grounds. Meanwhile, coordination is being made with PRO 5 for the turn-over of P1,367,875 in cash assistance of PROC o the people of the Bicol Region.
