Melissa Ricks Is Engaged!
MELISSA RICKS – Kapamilya star Melissa Ricks is finally engaged to her non-showbiz boyfriend Michael Macatangay.
Actress Melissa Ricks is the daughter of Kelly Ricks, the president and director of S&R Philippines, and Josie Ricks. She rose to fame as one of the finalists of ABS-CBN’s reality-based talent competition “Star Circle Quest” (SCQ). She is known best for her roles in the series Iisa Pa Lamang, Komiks Presents: Da Adventures of Pedro Penduko, and Walang Hanggan.
The 30-year-old actress has a daughter named Kiera with her non-showbiz ex-boyfriend Charles Togezaki. The two officially parted ways a year after their daughter was born in 2015.
On August 29, Melissa Rick’s non-showbiz boyfriend Michael Macatangay got down on one knee in an intimate gathering in Batangas. ABS-CBN Star Patroller Gretchen Fullido and Empress Schuck documented the romantic proposal on Instagram.
Gretchen shared photos of her with Melissa showing off her ring, and Melissa being joined by her daughter. “The intimate surprise engagement happened in Batangas [and] witnessed by close family and friend,” she wrote.
Meanwhile, Empress Schuck took a video of the proposal and shared it on her IG stories. The couple was visibly emotional.
Last November, Melissa Ricks greeted Michael Macatangay on his birthday. The actress called her boyfriend an “answered prayer.”
“You are my answered prayer. Thank you for showing me how love is supposed to be, for taking care of us and I [can’t] wait to see what the future holds,” she wrote.
