Roque Says Pres. Duterte Fired Civil Defense Deputy Administrator James Purisima
DUTERTE – Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said that the President fired Civil Defense Deputy Administrator James Pusirima.
The President holds the biggest duties in serving the country. His responsibilities includes the appointment of people whom he trust to serve the people well and just.
Aside from appointing people on certain positions in the different government agencies, the President may also terminate those faced with allegations.
Since the start of the current administration, the President has already sacked several officials in the government agencies. Most of them were faced with corruption allegations while some were those who lost his trust.
Recently, another official was fired by Pres. Rodrigo Duterte according to Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Roque said that the President terminated Fires Civil Defense Deputy Administrator James Purisima.
The Presidential Spokesman did not specifically elaborate the reason why Purisima was fired. According to the report, he said that the President fired Purisima due to “loss of trust and confidence”.
Purisima was reportedly the assistant secretary of the office which is under the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. He handled the management of the calamity impacts in the country.
